慧聪网化工讯：大众新开发的燃料电池基础可以让车辆的提供动力的方式发生革命性的变革。高温燃料电池（High Temperature Fuel Cell，HTFC）到2020年将为每一辆车提供动力。大众称这种电池比有的燃料电池更经济性，更耐用，同时体积更小，实用性能也更强。HTFC正常的使用温度是摄氏120度，仅略高于目前汽油内燃机的运行温度。更简单的气冷和水冷系统可以明显的降低新电池占用的空间，这些系统也更轻，生产成本更低。大众对于2010年推出搭载HTFC的原型车很有信心。 VW's fuel cell is light years ahead A new fuel cell developed by Volkswagen could revolutionise the way cars are powered. The High Temperature Fuel Cell (HTFC), which could be powering everyday cars by 2020, will be much more affordable, efficient, compact and practical than today's fuel cells, claims VW.
The HTFC has a normal running temperature of around 120deg C, which is only a little higher than most petrol-fuelled internal combustion engines. Simpler cooling and water management systems significantly reduce the space needed by the new cell, which is lighter and cheaper to produce.
Volkswagen is confident the HTFC will be powering prototypes by 2010 with a view to refining the process and making it ready for mass production.
